Crossy Road is a Frogger style game where players maneuver an animal across busy roads.

Crossy Road hearkens back to the 1981 hit game Frogger, updating it a little while maintaining true to what made the original such a beloved game.

In the game, you must guide your little animal across busy streets swarming with cars, trucks, trains and other vehicles. If you can dodge all the traffic, you're on to the next level. But all it takes is one slip up to get hit, and you have to start over from the beginning.

The controls are as minimalist as the original Frogger was: Tap the screen to move your animal ahead one space. Swipe from side to side to move your creature left or right. There's nothing fancy about the control scheme, and the game itself is simple and enjoyable.

Crossy Road allows you to earn money by gathering coins. These coins allow you to purchase additional types of animals to maneuver across the roads to safety. There's no game play advantage or different powers to any of the bonus creatures. They just look cool.

With a simple interface and a tried-and-true concept, Crossy Road is an update on the Frogger formula for a new generation.
