This horror game brings all the screams of the original. 2014’s breakaway indie gaming hit, Five Nights at Freddy’s, is at it again with the fourth installment. It brings all-new thrills, screams and gameplay.

You start as a young man in a house haunted by terrifying monsters. You must use your wits to last until dawn as you flee from the house’s residents. The game features plenty of atmospheric music and jump scares, just like you’d expect from the franchise.

Controls are simple. You tap the screen to move or to turn on your flashlight. This is a great game for getting non-gamers hooked because it’s so easy to play.

The challenge comes from balancing your actions in the game. You must juggle between checking the closet for Foxy, attacking the Freddles under the bed before they summon a powerful monster and keeping the hallway outside of your bedroom free from attack. Expect to lose each level multiple times before you master the timing.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 has received mixed reviews from critics for its departure from previous games in the series. Still, for die-hard fans of the jump scare genre, this installment can’t be missed.
