Symantec VIP Access is a security app available for Android. It helps to protect online accounts and online transactions using a personal identification process whenever you sign into accounts enabled with VIP.

The app has the following features:

-Strong authentication: When you link an account to the VIP app, you're required to use two-factor authentication whenever you sign in to that account. This increases the security of your accounts.

-VIP Access Proximity: You can lock and unlock your computer using the app on your phone.

-QR/App Code: You can scan a QR code to get site security codes. This gives you two-factor authentication for your favorite websites.

The following types of authentication are used:

-One-time use security codes are sent to your mobile.

-Puush notifications are sent to your mobile device and approved as authentication.

-Fingerprints and security codes are used with puush notifications to authenticate yourself.

The authentication method used depends on what the participating organization has chosen. Some participating organizations include E*TRADE, eBay, PayPal, and Google.

You can generate a security code even without a network connection.
